{"id":2982,"date":"2021-04-15T14:13:31","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T12:13:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/?p=2982"},"modified":"2021-04-15T14:36:21","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T12:36:21","slug":"european-solidarity-corps-2021-2027-first-call-for-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/european-solidarity-corps-2021-2027-first-call-for-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"European Solidarity Corps 2021-2027: First Call for Proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The European Commission has today announced the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/solidarity\/organisations\/calls-for-proposals_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first call for proposals<\/a> <\/strong>under the new&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/solidarity_en\">European Solidarity Corps<\/a>&nbsp;2021-2027<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s priority will be health and will mobilise volunteers to work on projects addressing <strong>health challenges<\/strong>, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and <strong>recovery<\/strong>. Thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/european-solidarity-corps-2021-2027-political-agreement-reached\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">budget approved<\/a> late in December for the European Solidarity Corps programme, the first year of action will see <strong>more than \u20ac138 million in funding<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also know that one of news concerning European Solidarity Corps is the inclusion of the <strong>volunteering activities in support of humanitarian aid operations<\/strong> (EU Aid Volunteers scheme). Thus from next year, the programme will also allow young people to volunteer in humanitarian aid activities worldwide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EU priorities <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the objectives to pursue, here are the four main ones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Promoting inclusion and diversity;<\/li><li>Making projects \u2018<strong>greener&#8217;&nbsp;<\/strong>and encouraging environmentally sustainable and responsible behaviour among participants and participating organisations;<\/li><li>Supporting the&nbsp;<strong>digital transition<\/strong>&nbsp;through projects and activities that boost digital skills, foster digital literacy and develop understanding of the risks and opportunities of digital technology;<\/li><li>Promoting the&nbsp;<strong>participation<\/strong>&nbsp;of young people in democratic processes and civic engagement.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to them, each year the Commission may add other priorities, such as has happened this year with health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Take Part<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to submit your projects, your organisation must have received the Quality Label. It certifies the high quality solidarity activities&#8217; standards in compliance with the principles, objectives and requirements of the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply for funding with the help of Nationa Agency of your country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadlines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The application period for the <a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/solidarity\/organisations\/calls-for-proposals_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Call for Proposals<\/a> under the new European Solidarity Corps 2021-2027 programme <strong>opens on April 15th<\/strong>. And the first deadline is<strong> on May 28th 2021<\/strong>. Applications for the quality label for solidarity volunteering can be submitted anytime.
