{"id":3465,"date":"2022-04-01T11:12:32","date_gmt":"2022-04-01T09:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/?p=3465"},"modified":"2022-04-01T11:14:08","modified_gmt":"2022-04-01T09:14:08","slug":"teaching-life-competences-online-free-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/teaching-life-competences-online-free-course\/","title":{"rendered":"Teaching Life Competences | Online Free Course"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Commission has lately announced the launch a new <strong>free online course<\/strong> to <strong>teach life competences<\/strong>, &#8220;<em>Shaping Lifelong Learners through Self-Regulated Learning<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>The LifeComp is a framework developed by the European Commission itself, that maps the key competences required to deal with complexity and thrive in the fast-changing world.<\/p>\n<h3>The Context<\/h3>\n<p>The world we live in is changing fast, and life is becoming increasingly complex and uncertain. <strong>Technologies play an increasingly important role<\/strong>, while new work models are surging fast. Employers are looking for<strong> flexible workers<\/strong> who can easily update their skills and the COVID-19 outbreak has highlighted the need to be able to adapt quickly to new working, social and learning conditions.<\/p>\n<h3>The Free Online Course<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Shaping Lifelong Learners through Self-Regulated Learning<\/em>\u201d is the first of a series of courses to explore the different areas of the Life Competences framework.<\/p>\n<p>This first course focuses on the area of \u2018<strong>Learning to Learn<\/strong>\u2019 of the LifeComp Framework. In particular, the course targets teachers who want to shape lifelong learners through self-regulated learning skills.
