S.A.L.T.O. Youth<\/strong> is running a series of panel sessions on Participatory and Inclusive Digital Transformation<\/strong> from September 2022 to March 2023<\/strong>, to bring together experts from the European youth field, policy making, research and private sector and discuss what digital transformation in this context means.<\/p>\n

Digital Transformation<\/h3>\n

Digital transformation\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>has become a big part of our lives.\u00a0Panel sessions on Participatory and Inclusive\u00a0Digital Transformation<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>bring together experts from the European youth field, policy making, research and private sector to discuss what\u00a0digital transformation<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in this context means, what kind of competencies are necessary to adapt, what are the opportunities and challenges, how to be a leader instead of a follower, how to connect with young people in this changing reality.<\/p>\n

    Next Panel Session on Digital Inclusion & Participation<\/h3>\n

    For the next session “Digital Inclusion and Participation” on November 8<\/a>, 4 experts in the field of inclusion and digital participation\u00a0<\/em>(Jasmin Rukolainen, Adina Serban, Thomas Schallhart and Panu R\u00e4s\u00e4nen) will delve into the latest academic research on the topic of how participatory and inclusive digital transformation<\/em>\u00a0can be achieved<\/strong>. They will touch on topics like accessibility, creating safer spaces and gaming and VR as tools for youth participation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Digital inclusion\u00a0is about people, particularly those that are disadvantaged and underrepresented<\/strong>, having access to, as well as the skills to use, online tools.<\/p>\n

    Alongside inclusion,\u00a0digital participation\u00a0is vital, giving people the knowledge, technology and online spaces to fully participate in the digital world, whether that be education, civic life or democracy.<\/p>\n
