Introduction<\/b><\/h2>\n

The European Rural Youth Summit<\/b><\/a> will take place in Panaci, <\/span>Romania<\/b> from<\/span> 29 August to 2 September 2023<\/b>. The Summit aims to strategically develop the <\/span>rural youth ecosystem in Europe<\/b>. It brings together young people from rural areas across Europe, youth workers, youth organisers, and decision-makers. Organised by the <\/span>European Youth Village Program<\/b><\/a>, this summit provides a platform for rural youth to raise their voices, share experiences, and discuss <\/span>rural youth work and rural development.<\/b><\/p>\n

Objectives of the Event<\/b><\/h2>\n

The European Rural Youth Summit has the <\/span>following objectives:<\/b><\/p>\n

– <\/span>Create a space for dialogue between rural youth and decision-makers <\/b>to address the challenges and opportunities facing rural areas in Europe;<\/span><\/p>\n

– <\/span>Provide a learning and participation context<\/b> for rural youth to engage with experts and peers on rural development issues. This enables them to develop their knowledge and skills and promotes their role in shaping the future of Europe;<\/span><\/p>\n

– <\/span>Raise awareness<\/b> about the importance of rural development and support the development of policy recommendations to improve the situation of rural youth in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The European Rural Youth Summit will be open to the<\/span> following groups:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Rural youth from across Europ<\/b>e: young people aged <\/span>16-30<\/b> who live or come from rural areas in Europe. They could be students, workers, entrepreneurs, or activists who are passionate about <\/span>rural development<\/b> and want to make a difference in their communities;<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Experts and practitioners<\/b>: Youth workers, community organisers, and representatives of non-governmental organisations interested in scaling the European Youth Village program in their countries;<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Policymakers and decision-makers<\/b>: Representatives from the European Union, national and local governments, and organisations involved in rural development and the rural youth sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
