{"id":4176,"date":"2023-07-12T14:09:12","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T12:09:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/?p=4176"},"modified":"2023-07-12T14:09:12","modified_gmt":"2023-07-12T12:09:12","slug":"youthpass-discover-it-with-this-free-board-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/youthpass-discover-it-with-this-free-board-game\/","title":{"rendered":"Youthpass | Discover it With This Free Board Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Discover &#8220;<strong>Youthpass journey: Youthpass islands &amp; captain\u2019s log<\/strong>&#8220;, a board game created by Juan Ratto-Nielsen, to explain what is the <strong>Youthpass<\/strong> and why it is useful to <strong>young people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this tool is to <strong>introduce Youthpass<\/strong> and its competences as a tool for self-assessment of the learning process.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The board game<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In this game you are the <strong>captain of your own ship<\/strong> and you will have a diary to write down what you are learning everyday.<br \/>\nYou will also have a \u201c<strong>Youthpass Compass<\/strong>\u201d that will help you navigate during the trip and arrive to your final destination.<br \/>\nBy visiting different ports of call you will arrive to your final destination and will be able to see the <strong>whole learning process and results<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the game is to complete your \u201c<strong>Youthpass-port<\/strong>\u201d visiting each island and <strong>fulfilling certain tasks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Through the tasks carried out in the islands, <strong>the participants will be learning the utilities this tool<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Who is this game for?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This board game is directed to <strong>youth workers<\/strong>, <strong>young people<\/strong>, <strong>youth leaders<\/strong>, <strong>EVS volunteers<\/strong> or any person doing an activity that entitles them to receive a Youthpass certificate. It is also useful to <strong>promote Youthpass<\/strong> and raise awareness of what it is and how it can be used.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Materials needed<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>To play this board game you need the following materials:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Task cards (competences)<\/li>\n<li>Coloured markers<\/li>\n<li>Cardboard<\/li>\n<li>Deck of cards<\/li>\n<li>Paper<\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<li>Rubber stamp (to validate the passport)<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salto-youth.net\/tools\/toolbox\/tool\/youthpass-journey-youthpass-islands-captain-s-log.1223\/\"><strong>Materials are available to download online and are free.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can find <strong>more information<\/strong> about this board game <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salto-youth.net\/tools\/toolbox\/tool\/youthpass-journey-youthpass-islands-captain-s-log.1223\/\"><strong>on the official website<\/strong><\/a>.
