{"id":969,"date":"2018-11-13T16:58:13","date_gmt":"2018-11-13T15:58:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/?p=969"},"modified":"2018-11-20T17:26:50","modified_gmt":"2018-11-20T16:26:50","slug":"seeds2-social-entrepreneurship-for-the-youngs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/youthnetworks.net\/seeds2-social-entrepreneurship-for-the-youngs\/","title":{"rendered":"SEEDS2: social entrepreneurship for the youngsters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/socialeconomyresources.net\/seeds2\/\">SEEDS 2 project<\/a> is\u00a0a <strong>capacity building<\/strong> in the field of <strong>entrepreneurship<\/strong> and <strong>social economy<\/strong>. The idea was to achieve a new awareness on the concept of social\u00a0entrepreneurship, to increase the competence of the organizations working in the field and to constitute\u00a0an effective input for young people who want to connect the world of entrepreneurship with the social bases &#8211; which was exactly the main new feature of SEEDS2: the involvement of <strong>NGOs<\/strong> and <strong>local communities<\/strong>, where the social side is more relevant, is what differentiates it from the <a href=\"http:\/\/socialeconomyresources.net\/seeds1\/\">previous version of the project (SEEDS)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SEEDS2 brought together eight organizations, four from <strong>Europe<\/strong> (Italy, Finland, Turkey and Spain) and four from <strong>Latin America<\/strong> (Peru, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina).<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>main goals<\/strong> of the project were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fighting <strong>unemployment<\/strong> through the creation of Social Entrepreneurship projects for young people;<\/li>\n<li>Creating a <strong>Youth Exchange<\/strong> in order to enhance the internationalization of the project and underpin the local context from where the participants came from;<\/li>\n<li>Increasing the <strong>competences<\/strong> of the staff members of the organizations through a Training of Multipliers, two Youth Exchanges and six local trainings on the topic;<\/li>\n<li>Applying methods of <strong>non formal education<\/strong>, peer to peer education, active participation and intercultural learning;<\/li>\n<li>Inspiring young people to have a proactive part in Social Entrepreneurship and attracting the youth from Latin America to the methodology of youth exchanges following the model of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/about_en\"><strong>Erasmus+<\/strong><\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>Reinforcing the <strong>networks<\/strong> between the participants and the <strong>stakeholders <\/strong>and among the participants themselves;<\/li>\n<li>Making the organizations that were part of the projects more visible and, by this, reinforcing their mission through an increase of the <strong>resources<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Testing new <strong>dissemination tools<\/strong>, like innovative media;<\/li>\n<li>Becoming a benchmark in the field of <strong>Social Entrepreneurship<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The goals have been achieved in a rather satisfying way.
